Ring Recovery - Mute Swan X7741, X7895

Today I received 2 ring recovery reports from Bird Ringing Centre at Swedish Museum of Natural History. Both mute swans, X7741 and X7895 were ringed 9 years ago in Stockholm. I attached the report below. They were recovered several times since ringed, and all were done in Stockholm center area in winter/early spring (January-March). There is no information about them on other period of time. It is interesting to know where the swans go in summer.

Yesterday, BBC News reported more than 150 mute swans have died in Berkshire, UK from infection, which doesn't sound good...

  1. This is pretty cool! It feels really good to see the swan again just like meeting an old friend. There are lots of black swans in the Burley Griffin Lake in the middle of Canberra.
